Enterprise Account Executive

What is the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to be the front line face of Balance to our customers end to end. This role is for the builders, the people who thrive in green-field open opportunity, who believe ambiguity breeds creativity... this is not for the script readers who cannot adapt quickly in the middle of a conversation. Our product is incredibly versatile and requires you to be genuinely interested in how businesses work so you can provide a consultative approach in your sales process. You are a trusted advisor helping companies with the most mission critical component of their business: money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end to end process of conversion from lead to customer
  • Develop a strong pipeline via a combination of inbound and targeted outbound activities
  • Manage the relationship with the potential customer and create a sense of partnership, be a trusted advisor
  • Be the quarterback inside and out -- manage the project with your customer and communicate with the various Balance groups in order to drive the sale forward
  • Be responsible for the customer’s use of Balance’s capabilities in order to grow TPV / ARR
  • Manage the leads and deal pipeline in the CRM, keep track of the required data, call out interesting elements and help derive sales insights
  • Be the ongoing main point of contact for various customer-facing communications from initial sales calls to customer success and support
  • Represent the client perspective in internal workflows; collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams


  • Native English speaker
  • 4-7 years of experience in B2B sales; emphasis on enterprise sales cycles with many various types of stakeholders
  • History of exceeding revenue targets and non-revenue based goals
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, ability to become a trusted advisor
  • Experience in managing large customer portfolios effectively and efficiently
  • Great objection handling and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, understands how to leverage information for actionable insights
  • Intellectually curious and overall business savvy, can understand a wide array of industries and fluidly move through conversations
  • Plus - experience selling payments
  • Plus - experience selling to innovation/transformation teams at enterprises
